Connect a domain to Bolt. The exact records.

What Bolt’s own docs ask for, in order: where to click in Bolt, which DNS records to add at your domain’s DNS provider, and what to watch for. Then check your domain live below.

1. In Bolt

   Publish the project first, then gear icon → All project settings → Domains & Hosting → Connect a domain you own.

2. At your DNS provider

   Add these records. “@” means the domain itself.

   CNAMEWebsite (ALIAS / flattened CNAME)	@	site-dns.bolt.host
   CNAMEWebsite (www)	www	site-dns.bolt.host

3. Good to know

   For the bare domain, use an ALIAS, ANAME or flattened CNAME record (not AAAA). If your DNS provider has none of these, use www as the main address.

4. Check your domain

   Type your domain: we read public DNS and show which Bolt records are in place, which are missing and which old ones to remove.
